The ‘Desert’ Rain

What’s with the rain
Gloomy overcast skies
A chill in the air
The downpour
Torrential, and soaking
Never really there.

And when it does, rain
The rain reigns
It pours, and me drenched
Rush to the store, looking
For an umbrella
No matter the cost
I need the cover.

There’s the brighter side though
When the dark rain clouds
Are blown away
Wither to, no one knows
The sky clears, the clouds part, and
The cheery sun peeps out,
For me, the air fresh, clean again.
